A few mondays ago for Meditation Monday we posted a photo of a yantra drawn by Audrey Ann Guedelekian. On Sunday, April 19, the day after our Saturday Trade and Donate to LGBT Homeless Youth Event, yoga instructor Phoebe Andrews will be teaching a workshop on how to draw the Jupiter yantra.

The Strange is Beautiful is having a Spring Trade at Pershing Square on Saturday, April 18 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Bring clothes from your closet and zines, artwork, vinyls, mixed tapes or any DIY goodies to trade! We’ll also collect one treasure from everyone for a white elephant gift exchange so we’ll all leave with something awesome xoxooxx. Plus a photobooth with a spaceship + surprises + posi vibes!

This article on Silicon Valley really touched me because, coming from a middle class family, it is heartbreaking to see my friends who have been poor all their lives struggle with simple basic needs and have constant mental stress, yet it is hard for me to fully grasp how and why poverty won’t let them escape.
